It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Richmond Senior had no problem doing just that on Friday. They snuck past the Porter Ridge Pirates with a 48-43 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Raiders, who have now won eight games in a row.

Evan Hodges threw for 339 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75.8% of his passes. Jayden Hamilton was his top target, picking up 128 receiving yards. On the ground, Chance Crowder rushed for 98 yards.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Corbin Donnahoo, who threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns on only 18 passes. Rai'Shawn Elmore also helped out with an impressive 120 receiving yards.

Richmond Senior's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Porter Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.

Richmond Senior will square off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests. Porter Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
