Yuma Catholic has gone 8-2 against Odyssey Institute recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Shamrocks will head out on the road to square off against the Minotaur at 3:45 p.m. Yuma Catholic is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

Yuma Catholic's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Parker 9-0. The result was nothing new for the Shamrocks, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Hiram Silva, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Parker off the board. Silva has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ivan Guzman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jose Alatorre, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Odyssey Institute fell victim to ALA - West Foothills and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Guardians, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Minotaur's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Yuma Catholic pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Odyssey Institute, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.

Everything went Yuma Catholic's way against Odyssey Institute in their previous meeting back in March, as Yuma Catholic made off with a 21-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shamrocks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
