 Derek Conjardi made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Conjardi was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Conjardi wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Ty Pearson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  double.  Niko Belesiotis also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
Hoffman Estates' victory bumped their record up to 7-17. As for Wheeling, they dropped their record down to 9-12 with the  defeat, which was their seventh straight  on the road.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoffman Estates will challenge Conant at 4:45  p.m.  on Monday. As for Wheeling, they will venture away from home to  take on Glenbard South  at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
