Softball Recap: Halifax Wins Going Away Against Greenwood

Halifax had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Greenwood 21-6 on Monday. Considering Halifax has won three games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Halifax let Angel Villa and Hailey Krzykowski run wild. Villa went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double, while Krzykowski scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Krzykowski a new career-high in RBI (three). Sasha Lutz was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Halifax always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Halifax back to even at 3-3. As for Greenwood, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
