This season hasn't been kind to the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They fell 51-40 to Moore Haven on Friday. Lincoln Park Academy lost against Moore Haven in their previous head to head two weeks ago, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 57-40 score last time.
Despite the loss, Lincoln Park Academy still got an impressive performance from J'Shaun Williams, who scored 14 points. Franco Monaco was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Moore Haven got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aaryn Askew out in front who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Askew is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Clarence Hunter, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Lincoln Park Academy bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Moore Haven, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln Park Academy will take on Tradition Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Moore Haven won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against McLaughlin at 4:00 p.m. on January 6th.
