Football Game Preview: Beaver Beavers vs. North Sanpete Hawks

The Beaver Beavers are taking a road trip to challenge the North Sanpete Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Beaver is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 36.5 points per game this season.

Beaver is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Parowan 55-14. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.

Davin Orton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 38 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 56 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (156.3).

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Beaver was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 262 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 165 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Beaver didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Maxwell Albrecht, Noah Wolff, and Emmet Lurth picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, North Sanpete played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Manti, falling 35-14. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Templars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

North Sanpete's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Beaver, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
