Iacono wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Mountain Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Viewmont only managed three hits.
Mountain Ridge's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Orem, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
