After two games on the road, Garland is heading back home. They will take on the Lakeview Centennial Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Friday, Garland ended up a good deal behind North Garland and lost 66-48.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brennon Workmon, who scored six points along with two steals. Caleb Ibeneme was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Lakeview Centennial's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a 68-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Naaman Forest. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Garland dropped their record down to 9-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Lakeview Centennial, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-24 record this season.
Garland beat Lakeview Centennial 64-57 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Garland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lakeview Centennial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
