Willard scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Margaretta Polar Bears, falling 17-7. If the Crimson Flashes were looking for revenge after losing 6-3 to the Polar Bears when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Willard got a big performance out of Brinn Trimner, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. That run was Trimner's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Whetstone, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Willard dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Margaretta, they moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
