Mansfield fell to Waldron 28-35 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Everything went Mansfield's way against Waldron on Friday as they made off with a 40-7 win. Mansfield was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
The victory bumped Mansfield's record up to 1-0. The loss dropped Waldron back to even at 0-0.
Next week, Mansfield take on Lavaca at 7:00 PM. Waldron will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Paris at 7:00 PM.
