The Bradwell Institute Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Jenkins Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jenkins took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bradwell Institute, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Bradwell Institute narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Statesboro 28-25. The win was just what Bradwell Institute needed coming off of a 52-20 loss in their prior matchup.
Christopher Garrett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 45 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 210 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes. Tyon Jones also helped out with an impressive 104 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Jenkins fell victim to Coffee's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Trojans. While losing is never fun, Jenkins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Coffee is ranked 21st).
Bradwell Institute's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Jenkins, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Bradwell Institute came up short against Jenkins in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 24-14. Can Bradwell Institute avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
