Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot found their leader in underclassman Avery Poore, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. Poore hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Hickey, who scored five points along with two steals.
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Fuqua, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-9.
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot will take on the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Southampton Academy and the Knights are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Fuqua, they will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
