The BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against BASIS - Mesa at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. BASIS - Scottsdale comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Monday, BASIS - Scottsdale lost to Heritage Academy at home by a decisive 65-49 margin.
Despite their loss, BASIS - Scottsdale saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Nithish Prakash, who scored 19 points along with three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Tropper, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, BASIS - Mesa made easy work of 91st Psalm Christian School on Friday and carried off a 62-36 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for BASIS - Mesa.
BASIS - Scottsdale's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for BASIS - Mesa, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Everything came up roses for BASIS - Scottsdale against BASIS - Mesa when the teams last played back in January of 2020 as the team secured a 63-22 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for BASIS - Scottsdale since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
