Volleyball Recap: Western Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

If Orange wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Western, they should've done a better job of containing Angela Jasso. The Pioneers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers on Thursday thanks in part to Jasso, who had 24 digs. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Western had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-9, 25-12, 25-13.

The victory made it two in a row for Western and bumps their season record up to 12-4. As for Orange, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western will host Saddleback at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orange, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Century at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
