The Maxwell Wildcats were the 52-38 winner over the Medicine Valley Raiders when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Maxwell fell 57-50 to Medicine Valley on Thursday.
Maxwell lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Levi Huffman, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Cole Huffman was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Maxwell's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Medicine Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.
Maxwell will look to defend their home court on Friday against Loomis at 7:30 p.m. Maxwell is facing Loomis at the right time seeing as Loomis is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Medicine Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-35 win vs. Brady on the 9th.
