The Creekside Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Spruce Creek Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Creekside: 3.7, Spruce Creek: 0.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Creekside came into this matchup off a tough six-run loss on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Hagerty by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Nicholas Romeu was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Creekside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Bysheim, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Bysheim has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Spruce Creek put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over Monsignor Pace. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Garrett Grant tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Peyson Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Devon Crown, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Spruce Creek pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Creekside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.
Creekside came up short against Spruce Creek in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 5-1. Can Creekside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
