On Friday, Kingston suffered a tough 74-50 loss at the hands of Central. While losing is never fun, Kingston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Central is ranked 32nd).
Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jobe Bryant, who scored 24 points along with six assists and three steals. Bryant is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon Berry, who scored 21 points.
Kingston's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-3.
Kingston will be playing at home against Steelville at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Steelville is coming into the matchup with three straight victories on the road, so Kingston is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-68 loss vs. Potosi on the 10th.
