There's no place like home for the Lennard Longhorns, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against Armwood by a score of 56-43 on Friday. For Lennard, this counts as revenge for the 59-54 loss Armwood walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.
Lennard found their leader in underclassman Arcadian Davis, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 27 rebounds. Davis hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. Nigel Roseboro was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
When it comes to explaining why Armwood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Talon Mckinnie. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Abe Diallo, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Lennard's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Armwood, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
Lennard will square off against Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Jefferson is ranked 499th, while Lennard is ranked 510th). Armwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
