Seminole Gets a Boost from Holmstrom in 50-20 Win
Starting off the list is Seminole's Wyatt Holmstrom, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Holmstrom threw for 438 yards and five touchdowns while completing 82.1% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. His passing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 319 passing yards.
If history really does repeat itself, Holmstrom might just drop another big game when he faces off against Levelland on Friday. Holmstrom threw for 283 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 112 yards on only 13 carries the last time he and the Lobos duked it out back in October of 2023.

Logan Mccormick Turns in Season-Best Performance
Seminole was led to victory by Logan Mccormick, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mccormick wasn't messing around, picking up 215 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The game was his third straight with two or more receiving touchdowns.
Mccormick will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Levelland on Thursday. The Indians got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Lobos, probably because Mccormick had a solid game then too: he rushed for 27 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Daenin Smith Dazzles in Snyder Loss
Snyder had to settle for second on Friday, but Daenin Smith sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop Smith as he rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown.
Greenwood had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Smith it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Smith saw the Rangers), he rushed for 228 yards and two touchdowns.
