Ridge Point has gone 9-1 against Fort Bend Austin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Fort Bend Austin will be up against a hot Ridge Point squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over Fort Bend Hightower on Tuesday.

Maliyah Lewis made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ellie Napoleoni, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Braelyn Daniels was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Ridge Point was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .462 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Fort Bend Austin made easy work of Fort Bend Bush on Tuesday and carried off a 10-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won nine in a row.
Ioanna Avlonitis was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Amira Marfani, who went 4-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run.
Ridge Point pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Bend Austin, their record is now 8-12.
Everything went Ridge Point's way against Fort Bend Austin when the teams last played back in March, as Ridge Point made off with a 16-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
