Basketball Recap: International Studies Drops Season-High Score on Imater Charter

International Studies scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 69-46 to the IMater Charter Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against International Studies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-28 back in November of 2024.

Leading iMater Charter to victory were Alain Alvarez and Roger Hulse. Alvarez went 7 of 15 on his way to 16 points, while Hulse posted 13 points. Alvarez's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Angel Spillbury, who had seven points and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for International Studies and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for iMater Charter, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

International Studies will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Pinecrest Prep at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. One thing working in Pinecrest Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for iMater Charter, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 82-41 defeat against Downtown Doral on the 13th.
