The Easley Green Wave won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune  on Friday. They were the victim of a  tough 52-28 loss at the hands of Westside. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Easley has scored all season.
 Easley's loss  came despite strong showings from  Olivia Gramblin and  Abbi Vite.  Gramblin  scored 11 points along with five  rebounds and two  steals, while  Vite  scored seven points.  Meya Mckinney was another key contributor,  scoring three points along with five  assists.
 Westside found their leader in underclassman  Makyhia Paul, who  scored 14 points along with four  steals. Paul is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ahrianna Scott, who  scored ten points along with two  steals.
 Easley has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Westside, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that  win, which was their seventh straight  on the road.
 Easley will  challenge Greenville at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in South Carolina (Greenville is ranked 96th, while Easley is ranked 92nd). Westside won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Butler at 3:30  p.m.  on January 13th. Butler is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.1  points per game.
