They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Valley Cougars. Even though they lost, the Renegades' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.1 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
William Jesse and Michael Jesse certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. William went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points, while Michael went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Blackmore, who posted nine points.
Even though they lost, Chambers/Wheeler Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Zaden Wolf was the offensive standout of the match as he dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Boston Wood, who had 11 points and five rebounds.
Chambers/Wheeler Central now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Central Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
