Leading Cowanesque Valley to victory were Dave Hess and Fletcher Good. Hess rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown, while Good rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.
Wellsboro's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Cowanesque Valley, Wyalusing Valley, and Troy. As for Cowanesque Valley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
