The Dove Creek Bulldogs's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 34-31 win over Ouray. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Dove Creek has posted against the Trojans since February 4, 2022.
Dove Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aiden Chadd out in front who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chadd has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sheldon Gardner, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Ouray lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Landen Hill, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Crandall, who scored seven points.
Dove Creek's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Ouray, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.
Dove Creek will head out on the road to face off against the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ouray, they will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
