The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Unity Christian in their matchups with Quad Cities Christian: they've now lost nine in a row.
Unity Christian used a three-pronged attack on offense:

Luke Holesinger posted six points each. Holesinger also led the team in assists with three.
Quad Cities Christian was led to victory by Seth Karl and Zeke Agbezouhlon. Karl scored 19 points along with four steals, while Agbezouhlon scored 17 points along with seven steals. Karl has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Bayler Garant was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
Unity Christian dropped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Quad Cities Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Unity Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Galesburg Christian at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th. As for Quad Cities Christian, Quad Cities Christian and Faith Christian will face off at 3:00 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Faith Christian is ranked 381st, while Quad Cities Christian is ranked 362nd).
