The Auburn Mountainview Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Enumclaw Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Auburn Mountainview sitting on six straight wins and Enumclaw on 15.
Auburn Mountainview's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Monday's struggle, when Federal Way hitters got past them. The Lions walked away with a 16-12 victory over the Eagles on Monday.

Mia Heigh was incredible, firing off two home runs and seven RBI while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brynna Erdmann, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Auburn Mountainview lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, while Enumclaw put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Kentlake. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Falcons. Considering the Hornets have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Ava Lim, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylar Navarro, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.
Enumclaw pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Auburn Mountainview, their record now sits at 14-3.
Both Auburn Mountainview and Enumclaw just can't seem to miss. The Lions have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 14.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Enumclaw struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Auburn Mountainview might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Enumclaw in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
