The St. Francis Sharks had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 win over North Monterey County on Thursday. The victory was just what St. Francis needed coming off of a 67-47 defeat in their prior contest.
Sam Braun continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Joseph Rose was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
St. Francis' victory ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-13. As for North Monterey County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Francis will face off against Watsonville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Monterey County, they will head out on the road to take on Seaside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Seaside is on a three-game streak of home losses, North Monterey County an eight-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
