Wilson is a perfect 10-0 against Barker since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lakemen will head out to square off against the Bulldogs at 4:45 p.m. Wilson comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Wilson fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Albion on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Purple Eagles by a score of 4-3.

Tyler Johnston put in work while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Johnston was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Luke Howard was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run. Archer Simpson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Barker came up short against Albion on Wednesday and fell 7-2. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Barker saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Munn, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Wilson's record now sits at 0-4. As for Barker, their record is now 3-8.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Wilson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Barker struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Wilson beat Barker 5-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakemen since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
