Hendrickson is 2-8 against Georgetown since August of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hawks will face off against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m.
On Friday, Hendrickson didn't have quite enough to beat Weiss and fell 3-2. While the Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wolves 25-18 in the first set.
Hendrickson wouldn't go down easily and took Weiss into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-21, 25-17, 19-25, 15-11.

Despite the defeat, Hendrickson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kenna Braden had 26 assists and ten digs. Braden is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.
Meanwhile, Georgetown had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They blew past the Wildcats 3-0.
One reason for the win was Georgetown's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-8, 25-7.
Georgetown's win came from a few key players Hendrickson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jordan Pitkethley, who had ten digs and one assist. Mary Rose Shoales also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Georgetown was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.
Georgetown's record now sits at 26-11. As for Hendrickson, their loss dropped their record down to 15-22.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Hendrickson has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Georgetown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
