Crown Point has gone 6-1 against Lake Placid recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will host the Bombers at 4:30 p.m. Crown Point is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Crown Point gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over Boquet Valley. Considering the Panthers have won three matches by more than 14 runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kaitlin Ross was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
In other batting news, Makenna Munson was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addison Hurlburt, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
Crown Point kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Lake Placid can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Johnsburg Central 9-8.
Crown Point pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.3 runs over those games. As for Lake Placid, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-6.
Crown Point took their victory against Lake Placid in their previous meeting on Thursday by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bombers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
