Even though the Poly Parrots scored an imposing 59 points on Saturday, the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals still came out on top. Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary snuck past Poly with a 64-59 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary.
Donovan Desha was his usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-8 from long range and dropping a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Boardman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Poly, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary will face off against Cabrillo at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Poly, they will be playing at home against Monroe at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Monroe is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
