While Xavier didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers by a score of 9-5 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on three straight.

Xavier's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Mt. St. Michael Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Xavier will take on Monsignor Scanlan at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Mt. St. Michael Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
