Northside Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brianna Carelock led the charge by scoring 14 points along with seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of JaKaila Gaskin, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Hickory Grove Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Northside Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
Hickory Grove Christian will head out on the road to square off against Westminster Catawba Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Metrolina Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Metrolina Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 331st, while Northside Christian Academy is ranked 91st).
