The South Pointe Stallions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by York on the road to the tune of 84-48. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded South Pointe with their most commanding win of the season.
South Pointe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ry'Darius Hill led the charge by scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Louis Howie, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
South Pointe used a slightly different lineup for their bout with York. And. Landon Hawkins made the most of the opportunity, scoring six points along with six rebounds and two steals. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Despite the loss, York still got an impressive performance from Bryson Steele, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Ayden Davis was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds.
The victory made it two in a row for South Pointe and bumps their season record up to 10-16. As for York, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
South Pointe will head out on the road to challenge Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverside will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something South Pointe surely won't give up without a fight. York does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
