New Buffalo's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was M'nason Smothers, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smothers has scored all season. Elliott Bourne was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
New Buffalo's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8. As for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Buffalo will take on Howardsville Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. New Buffalo is coming into the matchup with four straight losses at home, meaning Howardsville Christian will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. Our Lady of the Lake Catholic will take on Eau Claire at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Our Lady of the Lake Catholic will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Eau Claire surely won't give up without a fight.
