Lancaster Catholic has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lancaster Mennonite recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Crusaders will host the Blazers at 4:15 p.m. Lancaster Catholic will be strutting in after a victory while Lancaster Mennonite will be coming in after a defeat.
On Monday, Lancaster Catholic earned a 6-1 win over Pequea Valley.
Drew Walker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lancaster Catholic is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-5 otherwise. Walker was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with four runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ty George, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zach Zuber, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Lancaster Catholic lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Lancaster Mennonite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to Northern Lebanon.
Kyler Buckwalter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. Ian Yen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Lancaster Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lancaster Mennonite, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
