Excel Christian was the  57-47 winner over Coleville when they last played one another  back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Excel Christian lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Sam Mills, who  dropped  a double-double on 13  points and ten  boards. The dominant performance gave  Mills a new career-high in  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tommy Schoech, who  posted two points and 12  boards.
 Even though they lost, Excel Christian  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive boards they've managed all season.
 Coleville found their leader in sophomore  Kegan Armold, who  went 10 for 21  on his way to 26  points in addition to six  rebounds and five  steals. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for  Armold.
Excel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Coleville, their victory  ended  an  eight-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 4-9.
 Excel Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  74-28  defeat against Virginia City on the 21st. As for Coleville, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  73-39  loss against Pyramid Lake on the 18th.
