Make it four blowout wins for the Inland Lakes Bulldogs this season. They really took it to Johannesburg-Lewiston for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-42 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Inland Lakes sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Inland Lakes' win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sam Schoonmaker, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Schoonmaker hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Fenstermaker, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Inland Lakes' win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Johannesburg-Lewiston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Inland Lakes will take on Bellaire at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Johannesburg-Lewiston, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mancelona at 7:30 p.m. Mancelona will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
