Meanwhile, East Lee County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 58-30 loss at the hands of Lehigh. East Lee County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.
Gateway Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1-1. As for East Lee County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Everything came up roses for Gateway Charter against East Lee County in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 62-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gateway Charter since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
