The Springtown Porcupines had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 52-17 win over Castleberry at home. The win was just what Springtown needed coming off of a 80-36 loss in their prior matchup.
Springtown was led to victory by Esther Balado and Paige Winstead. Balado scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Winstead scored 18 points along with six steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Brylynn Bazzell, who scored five points along with nine rebounds.
Springtown's victory bumped their record up to 17-14. As for Castleberry, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 15 of their last 17 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.
Springtown will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lake Worth at 6:15 p.m. As for Castleberry, they will head out on the road to take on Krum at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Krum will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
