Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Huntington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Turner, who posted 17 points. The dominant performance gave Turner a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Welch, who earned 13 points and eight boards.
Huntington's win bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Ponchatoula, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 25-9.
Looking ahead, Huntington will take on St. Thomas More on Friday. Huntington has given up an average of 50.9 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. Ponchatoula does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
