Cor Jesu Academy fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game on Thursday as the odds are decidedly against them. They will take on the Whitfield Warriors. Cor Jesu Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Whitfield will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Cor Jesu Academy beat Fort Zumwalt South 48-39 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up 18-18 at halftime, but the Warriors were not quite Incarnate Word Academy's equal in the second half when they met on Tuesday. Whitfield fell just short of Incarnate Word Academy by a score of 44-41. That makes it the first time this season Whitfield has let down their home crowd.
Cor Jesu Academy is now 10-10 while Whitfield sits at 20-4. Cor Jesu Academy is 4-5 after wins this year, and Whitfield is 2-1 after losses.
