The Branchville Yellow Jackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Bamberg-Ehrhardt on the road and fell 71-4. Branchville has not had much luck with Bamberg-Ehrhardt recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Leading Bamberg-Ehrhardt to victory were Raven Brown and Ezariah Williams. Brown scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Williams dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Brown continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Sanders, who scored six points along with eight steals.
Branchville's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.3 points per game. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
Branchville will be playing at home against Bethune-Bowman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Bethune-Bowman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Friday. Bamberg-Ehrhardt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
