Otis and Flatirons Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Otis had to settle for second. They took a hard 53-34 fall against the Flatirons Academy Bison. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their 19-game winning streak.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gracen Bechtle, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Kendrick, who had 11 points and eight rebounds.

Flatirons Academy was led to victory by Brandon Ewing and Parker Wilson. Ewing shot 53% from the field en route to 24 points, while Wilson dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. Ewing has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jackson Schulz, who earned six points and five rebounds.

Otis' defeat dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Flatirons Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Otis has already played their next game, a 65-58 victory against Kim/Branson on the 14th. As for Flatirons Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-39 win against Cheyenne Wells on the 14th.
