The Notre Dame Academy Irish Wolfhounds will be playing at home against St. John Bosco Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. John Bosco Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Notre Dame Academy, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Notre Dame Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, but they still walked away with a 48-42 victory. The win was just what Notre Dame Academy needed coming off of a 46-22 loss in their prior game.
Notre Dame Academy can attribute much of their success to Sarah Gruber, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Faustina Barcena, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, St. John Bosco Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 47-29 to Horizon Christian Academy. St. John Bosco Academy has struggled against Horizon Christian Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
The victory got Notre Dame Academy back to even at 1-1. As for St. John Bosco Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Things could have been worse for Notre Dame Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-36 loss to St. John Bosco Academy in their previous meeting back in January. Can Notre Dame Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
