Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Bishop Gorman's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 28-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cornerstone Christian Academy. Bishop Gorman has not had much luck with Cornerstone Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Bishop Gorman saw an underclassman step up: Gianna Mahfood scored nine points.
Lakehill Prep's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.7 points per game. As for Bishop Gorman, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-13.
