Basketball Recap: Eagle's View Skates Past Harvest Community with Ease

Eagle's View's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past Harvest Community 59-30. Eagle's View has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

JUSTIS CLEMENTS produced another solid performance almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. JAIDEN BELCHER also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Eagle's View was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harvest Community only racked up six.

Despite the loss, Harvest Community still got an impressive performance from Nathan McCartney, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 13 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Justin Gheirer, who posted four points and six rebounds.

Eagle's View's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Harvest Community, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 13-10.

Looking ahead, Eagle's View will be playing in front of their home fans against Faith Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will be up against the Angels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.57 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Harvest Community, they will be playing at home against Trinity Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
