After four games on the road, Mansfield is heading back home. They will take on the Skyline Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mansfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 476th, while Skyline is ranked 145th).
Last Saturday, Mansfield didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Alief Taylor, but they still walked away with a 48-43 win. The win was just what Mansfield needed coming off of a 71-33 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Skyline unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 38-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Braswell. Skyline has not had much luck with Braswell recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Lily Brown put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 17 points. She scored a full 50% of Skyline's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Mansfield's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Mansfield skirted past Skyline 38-35 when the teams last played back in January. Does Mansfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Skyline turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
