The East Duplin Panthers will be playing at home against the North Lenoir Hawks at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Duplin is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
Last Wednesday, East Duplin was the victim of a tough 70-45 defeat at the hands of the Titans. While losing is never fun, East Duplin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 600th, while the Titans are ranked 148th).
Despite the loss, East Duplin got a solid performance out of Calvin Harper, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Sedrick Lawson, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, North Lenoir had to suffer through a rough 91-54 loss at the hands of the Stallions. North Lenoir has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
East Duplin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season. As for North Lenoir, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
